B.chandrakala IAS was born on 27 September , 1979 in Karimnagar in the state of Telangana, India.

She was born as the 3rd child of B.kishan and B.lakshmi.

She has one brother and one sister.

During school, she fared badly in the tenth class examinations.

she couldn't get admission in Science, Commerce and Mathematics streams in Higher Studies.
she had to continue pursuing an academic career in history, economics, and geography as her main subjects

after 12 standards She joined "Koti Women's College" in Hyderabad to study BA but was married off in the second year.

Her high aspirations prevented her from giving up studies and she completed MA (Economics) through distance education.

and prepared for Group I with the help of her husband.
Chandrakala emerged the topper among SC/ST candidates in Group I.
examination conducted by the AP Public Service Commission and became Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies.

This boosted her morale and she decided to appear for the Civil Services.

but she failed to succeed in her first three attempts.
she qualified for the main exams in her fourth attempt and secured the 409th rank.

She became an IAS officer of UP CADRE of 2008 batch and has been appointed as District Magistrate
of Mathura, Bulandshaher, etc.
