Monali Thakur is an Indian playback singer and actress. In her acting field, she showed off her brilliant performances. She has become popular after singing ‘Sawaar Loon’. Then the lady gave her melodious voice in several songs and got huge popularity. She has won many prestigious awards for her beautiful career.

Early Life:

Monali Thakur was born on November 3, 1985, in Kolkata, India into a Bengali family. She is the daughter of famous Bengali singer Shakti Thakur and younger sister of playback singer Mehuli Thakur. 

Monali has completed her bachelor degree in English from St. Xavier’s College at Kolkata. She has received training in Hindustani Classical Music under Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty and Pandit Jagdish Prasad. She has learned the Hip-Hop as well as Bharatanatyam.

Career:

Monali Thakur started her career as a playback singer making debut with ‘Kubool Kar Le’ for the movie Jaan –E-Mann in 2006. Next year she gave her voice in ‘Goodnight’ for Dil Kabaddi. Then she presented several popular songs to her fans including ‘Zara Zara Touch Me’, ‘Bol Na Aar’ and ‘Jingle Jingle’.

Monali came into limelight after singing ‘Sawaar Loon’ for Lootera in 2013 and ‘Moh Moj Ke Dhaage’ for Dum Lage Ke Haisha in 2015.

Monali Thakur made her acting debut with Bengali movie ‘Krishnakanter Will’ in 2007 where she played as a child actress. She starred as a lead character in the Hindi social problem film ‘Lakshmi’ opposite Ram Kapoor in 2014. In that year, the actress also appeared in other movies ‘Mango’,‘PK' and 'Secret Superstar'

Personal Life:

The gorgeous lady Monali Thakur is still single but according to the sources, she dated with Meiyang Chаng who is a singer. She likes to traveling, swimming and listening to music.
